Who We Are

Larisa Correa, LCSW

Founder and Clinical Social Worker

I am a clinical social worker with over five years professional experience working with children and individuals who are struggling with emotional and behavioral issues in addition to living with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.

Recipient of the Mayor’s Graduate Scholarship to study at New York University, I achieved a Master of Social Work and became licensed with the State of New York. My passion was fueled by discovering that emotional stress and addiction were very personal to me. I hit bottom and took the first step. With over 10 years sobriety, I dedicated my life to helping people find peace. I learned to live in the moment, be honest and face that which I fear the most…myself.

Karen J. Gomez

Co-Founder and Practice Administrator

I have over 15 years’ experience working in Finance as a managed care and billing professional. I studied at John Jay College and grew up in Corona Queens which guided my reason for working in that community.

Larisa and I met at a City hospital in Queens where we dedicated time to support the community of Elmhurst, Queens. My passion comes from a knowledge of the law and public safety. A graduate of John Jay College, I dedicated my life to helping people get the support they need to avoid tragedies that we have become all too familiar with. I am a Suffolk resident now and, at the heels of what Parkland represents, I seized the opportunity to partner with someone who has the same passion to serve as I do.

What We Do

We take an intersectional approach to understanding the challenges that individuals face, so that we can identify the appropriate treatment modality that will promote the best outcome: enhance coping skills, promote stability, foster recovery, and ultimately find peace.
